Haghill, Glasgow is an exciting residential regeneration project located on Marwick Street, on the former site of Haghill Primary School. Transforming a now vacant plot in Glasgow’s East End, the development will deliver 48 much-needed social housing, comprising 43 new flats, four new townhouses, and the sensitive refurbishment of the existing Janitors House.

DKI Consulting is providing the full Mechanical and Electrical design for the scheme, with a strong focus on low-carbon, future-ready living.

The development will be served by a dedicated district heating system created specifically for Haghill, operated from a central energy hub to deliver energy-efficient heating and hot water to all dwellings. Each property will incorporate mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) to improve indoor air quality while minimising heat loss, and all blocks will feature photovoltaic (PV) panels to offset carbon emissions. In addition, each home will benefit from wastewater heat recovery (WWHR) which will capture residual heat from the showers wastewater to reduce energy consumption.

Planning approval was secured in November 2025, and the project is anticipated to start on site in early 2026.
